Barely a week after he was presented with a brand new Range Rover Evogue by Avatar, his new la­bel, self styled Musical Taliban, Oritsefemi, narrowly escaped being dispatched to the great beyond last weekend in Lagos by daredevil gunmen.

According to his manager, Danko, who witnessed it all, trouble began after they decided to drive to Victoria Island to hook up with Koko Master, Dbanj, at 3:30 am in the morning.

“My brother, we thank God that they did not succeed; it was a close call. We left Surulere around 3:30am to hook up with D’banj, who was waiting for us on the Island. As we drove along Ikorodu Express, I realised that we were being tailed by a Toyota Corolla with four hefty men armed to the teeth.”

Danko said as they approached Fadeyi, the gunmen intensified the chase and ordered him to stop, pointing their guns at them but he refused to stop and put the gear in over drive and sped off!

Unknown to him, as he acceler­ated, a truck conveying cement was parked in front. Danko lost control and slammed into the rear of the truck. However, the robbers alighted and approached the car but beat a hasty retreat when sym­pathizers jumped out of their cars and came to the rescue. Conse­quently the gun men jumped into their car and sped off.
