Q: Which of the Asari’s do you mean?

A: The Niger Delta war king. He was a year ahead of me in Benghazi training camp in Libya.

Q: Who financed your training in Libya and Pakistan?

A: You will not believe me and only God will judge the Chief sponsor of terrorism in Nigeria whose name I will not mention because he is so powerful and even the president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, is so much afraid of the man.

Q: If you really know the Christ in you, why are you afraid to tell me the name of the man who sponsored you and the date or approximate period he sponsored you.

A: I am not afraid because he knows me and he cannot deny it if he sees me face to face.

A: Yes 600 + IBB’s agents of destruction are in the Nigeria Army (NA), Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Navy, Air Force, Oil and Gas sectors, even in the finance home such as in top level positions of CBN (Central Bank of Nigeria) and other banks. You find them in politics, in the Senate, National Assembly, in the media both print and electronic and even in Aso Rock, Abuja (Nigeria’s capital).

Q: How do you mean by this statement “and even in the finance…”?

A: Yes, I mean every word I say; even the Islamic bank champion was planted by IBB to help in Islamizing Nigeria.

Q: So how can you describe IBB?

A: IBB is a “green snake” in green grass. He is the main problem of Nigeria along with members of the Cabal.

Q: Have you forwarded any of these evidence(s) to Aso Rock or to SSS (State Security Services)?

A: I attempted to do so a few weeks ago and I was arrested and detained for two days because IBB’S men are so many in SSS (State Security Services) as well. After I was released by the grace of God, they (the Police) warned me never to blow up the polity or provoke violence and I should keep my so-called born-again with me or else I will go to jail. A: I was a Boko Haramist. But Boko Haram is just a cover name to give it a name. I have my identity as a founding member of the dreaded jama’aful Ahlul sunna wal Liddawati wal Jihad, aka Boko Haram.

Q: Apart from IBB, who are the other top sponsors of terrorism in this country?

Chibok falls to Boko Haram

LATEST UPDATE: Chibok falls to Boko Haram

Boko Haram has seized the town of Chibok, in Borno state in northeast Nigeria, from where 276 schoolgirls were

kidnapped more than six months ago, officials say.

The April 14 kidnapping brought global attention to the armed group’s five-year campaign to set up a state ruled by Islamic law in northern Nigeria.

“Chibok was taken by Boko Haram. They are in control,” Enoch Mark, a Christian pastor whose daughter and niece are among the 219 teenagers still being held, told AFP news agency.

Mark and Ali Ndume, a senator for southern Borno, said Boko Haram attacked at about 4pm local time (1500 GMT) on Thursday, destroying communications masts and forcing civilians to flee.

Ndume said that he had received calls from residents saying Chibok “was now under their [Boko Haram] control. There is no telephone service now in Chibok, which is why it took time before the reports reached me”.

Mark said the attack on Chibok, an impoverished town, appeared to come after Boko Haram overran the towns of Hong and Gombi in neighbouring Adamawa state following the group’s removal from the commercial hub of Mubi.

“They came in and engaged soldiers and vigilantes in a gunfight,” he said.

“Some of us managed to escape. All the telecom towers in the town were destroyed during the attack with RPGs [rocket-propelled grenades].

“No one can say what the situation is in the town in terms of destruction to property.”

Al Jazeera’s Ahmed Idris, reporting from Abuja, said tackling Boko Haram was proving difficult for the Nigerian military.

“Plans are under way to retake Chibok but the military is facing its own difficulties fighting ongoing battles with Boko Haram all over the place,” he said.

“The fighters have staying power: when they took over Mubi, they were driven out only when vigilantes came together to force them to withdraw.”

Boko Haram also has access to heavy weaponry, Al Jazeera’s Idris said. “It is hard to say whether or not the authorities will be able to cut off the supply lines, because it is difficult to know where Boko Haram get their weapons.”

Boko Haram fighters stormed the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok on the evening of April 14 and forced students onto lorries in a mass abduction.

Roughly 57 managed to escape.

Abubakar Shekau, Boko Haram leader, claims to have carried out his promise to marry off the teenagers still being held and said that they had all converted to Islam.

More than six months on, talks aimed at securing their release are at an impasse, despite government claims last month to have brokered a ceasefire deal with the fighters and peace talks.

Last Monday, 58 boys were killed when a suspected Boko Haram suicide attacker detonated explosives at a school in Potiskum in Yobe state.

President Goodluck Jonathan recently announced his intention to run for another term in office.

He pledging to vanquish Boko Haram and bring security to the country.

His government has been heavily criticised for its response to the mass abduction, its failure to free the girls as well as its apparent inability to protect its citizens from Boko Haram.

Female suicide bomber hits Niger school, kills one

A female suicide bomber and one student of the Federal College of Education (FCE), Kontagora, Niger State lost their lives in a bomb attack that would have claimed the lives of over 200 students of the college writing their examinations at the college’ auditorium.

Eyewitness account revealed that the female bomber was on her way to the auditorium where the students were already gathered, waiting for the commencement of their examinations when the bomb went off, killing the carrier and one student close to the scene.

The incident happened at about 12:45 p.m. The examination was billed to start at 1p.m. Police Public Relations Officer in Niger State command, DSP Ibrahim Gambari told Daily Sun that only the female bomber lost her life in the incident while four persons sustained injuries.

According to Gambari, one ‘Okada’ rider and three students were injured. The ‘Okada’ rider, he said had been treated and discharged while the three students were still in the hospital receiving treatment.

“The incident happened. I can confirm that to you, but it is not true that many people died. God did it in such a way that only the carrier lost her life and four people were injured. She could not reach her target before the bomb detonated. I think she was targeting the library or the auditorium.

“We have been there, even my commissioner was there and our bomb experts as well as the Area Commander in Kontagora.”

Policemen and other security operatives cordoned off the scene of the incident while students ran out of the school.

Sadly, the incident coincided with the 59th birthday of the state Governor, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu. The governor was at the Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre, Minna as guest of honour at the fourth Muazu Babangida Aliyu Colloquium when the news of the bomb blast filtered into the hall.

New video shows scenes inside ‘Boko Haram-controlled town’

LATEST UPDATE: New video shows scenes inside ‘Boko Haram-controlled town’

A new Boko Haram video obtained by AFP on Sunday shows militants on an armoured vehicle parading down a road in an unidentified town they apparently control and the group’s leader Abubakar Shekau preaching to locals.

It was not possible to tell whether the footage was staged for propaganda purposes, especially scenes of residents cheering Islamist fighters.

The message appeared to be aimed at reinforcing Shekau’s claim that he has created a caliphate within Nigeria.

In the 44-minute video, Boko Haram voices support for other so-called caliphates, including the one proclaimed in Iraq and Syria by the Islamic State (IS) group.

Shekau, who is pictured in closeup shots with rare clarity, again dismisses government claims about ceasefire talks.

The video, which was delivered through the same channels as past messages, shows armed men lined along a well-paved road, with three pick-up trucks bristling with heavy weapons also visible.

Black, crested flags associated with the Islamist group are also shown.

Later, an armoured vehicle rolls down the road lined with both fighters and individuals who appear to be residents of the town.

Boko Haram has released a series of videos showing similar military hardware, equipment it says was stolen from the Nigerian military. Such claims have been impossible to verify.

No women or girls are seen on the street or anywhere else in the footage.

Most of the message is taken up by a sermon from Shekau, delivered indoors but apparently played on a speaker to locals assembled outside.

“We have indeed established an Islamic caliphate,” he said, restating a claim he first made in August.

The images of the sermon include unusually clear closeups of the Nigerian militant leader.

Shekau has previously expressed solidarity with other jihadi groups and leaders.

In the latest video, he seemed to associate territory under his control with a wider, global caliphate, but did not submit to the authority of any other jihadi leader.

“To everyone living in Islamic Caliphate, we convey our greetings,” he said, specifically mentioning “brethren” in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Shishan (an Islamist term for Chechnya), Yemen, Somalia and “the Caliphate in Iraq and Syria.”

A graphic shown later includes a picture the IS group’s leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as well as a portion of the message his group issued on July 1 proclaiming a caliphate in Iraq and Syria.

Iraq on Sunday was investigating whether Baghdadi was killed in air strikes by US-led coalition warplanes.

Nigeria maintains it is still negotiating with Boko Haram envoys in neighbouring Chad and that a disputed October 17 ceasefire declaration remains viable.

Violence has however continued and the Islamists are believed to control more than two dozen towns and villages in the northeast.

“There is no truce between me and Nigerian tyrants,” Shekau said, dismissing the credibility of Danladi Amhadu, the purported rebel negotiator.

“This person Danladi… if he thinks he can, let him show his face. By Allah, we will kill him,” the Islamist leader said.

Breaking News : Bomb Blast in Nigerian School Assembly Kills Children

LATEST UPDATE: Breaking News! Bomb blast in Nigerian school assembly kills children

This is too bad.At least 48 people were killed on Monday after an explosion ripped through a school in northeast Nigeria, as students gathered for morning assembly before classes began.

Breaking News : Bomb Blast in Nigerian School Assembly Kills Children

Some reports suggested that the bomb was carried in the backpack of a suicide bomber, dressed as a student.

A teacher at the school, a medic and a rescue worker said that blast happened at the Government Comprehensive Senior Science Secondary School in Potiskum, Yobe state.

The rescue worker told AFP that 13 bodies had been taken to hospital with more than 30 others left “with various degrees of injuries”. There was no official death toll.

Bomb Blast in Nigerian School Assembly Kills Children

“The students had gathered for the morning assembly when something exploded in their midst with a thunderous sound at exactly 7:50 am (0650 GMT),” added a teacher, who asked not to be identified.

“The explosion has affected many students but I can’t say how many because we are now evacuating the victims to the hospital which is just 100 metres away,” the teacher added, sobbing.

A medic at the Potiskum General Hospital, where the victims were taken, said scores of students had been admitted.

“We are still receiving casualties from the school which is a stone’s throw from here,” the medic said.

“Our priority now is to save the injured, so we have not started a headcount of the victims.”

A local resident, Adamu Alkassim, said there was confusion in and around the school. The scene was a mass of abandoned footwear and blood.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, but Boko Haram militants are likely to be the prime suspects.

The group, which wants to create a hardline Islamic state in northern Nigerian, has previously carried out deadly attacks on schools teaching a so-called Western curriculum since 2009.

In February, gunmen killed at least 40 students after throwing explosives into the dormitory of a government boarding school in Buni Yadi, also in Yobe state.

In July last year 42 students were killed when Boko Haram attacked dormitories in a gun and bomb attack on a government boarding school in the village of Mamudo, near Potiskum.

Boko Haram’s most high-profile attack on a school came in April, when fighters kidnapped 276 girls from the town of Chibok in Borno state, also in northeast Nigeria.

More than six months later, 219 of the girls are still being held.

Potiskum, the commercial hub of Yobe state, has been repeatedly targeted by deadly attacks blamed on Boko Haram.

Just last week, at least 15 people were killed in a suicide bomb attack targeting a Shia religious ceremony in the city.

Yobe is one of three northeastern states that has been under a state of emergency since May last year to try to quell the bloody insurgency.

But violence has continued unabated and Boko Haram has seized at least two dozen towns and villages in recent months, raising doubts about the government’s ability to control the region.

Insurgency: Iwuanyanwu seeks summit of ex-military officers

LATEST UPDATE: Insurgency: Iwuanyanwu seeks summit of ex-military officers

Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, a PDP chieftain, has charged the Ohaneze Ndigbo leadership to summon a meeting of all retired senior security officers of South East extraction to discuss the security of the zone.

Iwuanyanwu, a member of PDP Board of Trustees, made the call in Owerri on Friday at a news briefing on some nagging national issues.

The business mogul was reacting to the ceaseless upsurge of insurgency in some parts of the country in the wake of the forthcoming general elections.

Iwuanyanwu urged the Ohaneze Ndigbo to constitute a security committee from the retired senior security officers of the Army, Navy and Police that would work closely with the five South East governors.

“We do not need to wait until we are attacked before we start discussing security problems,” he said.

Iwuanyanwu said they would detect early signs of security breaches and advise on the best way to tackle them.

He said that every patriotic Nigerian should be more concerned with the unity, progress, peace and prosperity of the country.

Iwuanyanwu warned that if the 2015 elections was not properly handled, it could deteriorate to a point that it might be difficult to control.

“I therefore strongly suggest that since the South-South region has gone four years out of the constitutional eight years, it (South-South) should be allowed to complete the eight years,” he said.

Iwuanyanwu appealed to politicians from the South East, who he said are legitimately and rightly demanding for Presidency, to subjugate their ambition to the unity, peace and stability of the country.

He urged such people to support the South-South after which the “Presidency will go to the North”.

Iwuanyanwu said that the South-South had contributed substantially to the economic and social development of Nigeria.

“If they are denied the opportunity to serve their normal tenure of eight years, it may be viewed as an act of bad faith.

“We cannot afford at this moment to open up a new frontier of crisis in the South.

“In effect, in four years time, all Nigerians will support the presidency going to the North. After eight years in the North, the presidency will come back to the South.

“When it comes to the South, it will automatically be the turn of the South East as South West and South-South zones have had their turns,” he said.

He expressed concern at what he termed the “bloody assassination of some innocent citizens of the country and the criminal occupation of large territories by the Boko Haram sects”.

He called on Nigerians, especially leaders of the restive zones, to rise to the challenge and support the Federal Government’s efforts to restore normalcy to the troubled areas. (NAN)

Nigerians killed in Bauchi state cash Machine Blast

LATEST UPDATE: Nigerians killed in Bauchi state cash machine blast

At least 10 people have been killed in a bomb blast as they queued to withdraw money from a cash machine in northern Nigeria, residents have told the BBC.

Nigerians killed in Bauchi state cash Machine Blast

They say the attacker approached the queue with a parcel before it exploded in Azare, Bauchi state.

No group has said it carried out the attack but suspicion is likely to fall on Islamist militant group Boko Haram.

The group has killed thousands since 2009 in its campaign to set up an Islamic state in north-eastern Nigeria.

Boko Haram has in the past claimed responsibility for similar attacks in the north.

The attack took place outside the branch of the First Bank in Azare.

One eyewitness told the BBC he heard an explosion and then turned to see clouds of smoke.

“After the smoke had dissipated, we saw a number of bodies – I saw with my own eyes at least nine bodies without heads or limbs,” he said.

The BBC’s Ishaq Khalid in Bauchi state says many people from the neighbouring states of Borno and Yobe go to Azare to withdraw money as they have no banks in their areas or the cash machines are not working.

Borno and Yobe are two of the states worst affected by the Boko Haram insurgency.

Boko Haram changes names of captured NE Nigeria towns: Says witnesses

LATEST UPDATE On Gistagain : Boko Haram changes names of captured NE Nigeria towns: witnesses

Boko Haram has renamed two towns it captured in northeast Nigeria as part of campaign to establish a caliphate in the region, residents who have fled in recent days told AFP on Thursday.

The Islamists seized the town of Mubi in Adamawa state last week and now insist it be called Madinatul Islam, or “City of Islam” in Arabic.

Gwoza in neighboring Borno state which was captured in July is now being called Darul Hikma or “House of Wisdom,” multiple residents said.

Boko Haram’s leader, Abubakar Shekau, in a video released in August declared that he had made Gwoza part of a caliphate – an announcement that recalled a similar move by ISIS, which has taken over parts of Iraq and Syria.

The extremists are believed to control more than two dozen towns and villages in Nigeria’s far northeast and there are signs that they are trying to advance south toward Adamawa’s capital Yola.

“They have given new names to Gwoza and Mubi, which they say are now part of their Islamic state,” said Ahmad Maishanu, who fled Mubi with his mother on Wednesday to Yola.

Tijjani Kalifa, who left Mubi on Monday and has contacts in Gwoza, also reported that Boko Haram was forcing people in both towns to use the new names.

Both witnesses said all the churches in Mubi had been burnt down and that Islamists were patrolling the streets regularly, with no sign of resistance from the security services.
